Design Statement:

In the late 90s, New York, a troubled young man named Joe goes searching for his friend with many personalities. Scenes are spread throughout New York; the movement of the movie is choppy as if the character is having blackouts throughout the movie. Her unknown whereabout leads him to learn that her apartment building had a fire. With still no sign of Lilly, he breaks into her apartment and finds a burnt carcass of what was her cat. Throughout the duration of the film, Joe is haunted by the spirit of Lily’s cat who leads him to four very different people who have had some connection with Lily. Each person leads him closer and closer to understanding Lily and discovering where she might be. Joe also experiences many flash back as he searches for Lily, and their relationship and back story is slowly revealed to the audience. In the end, the audience discovers that these four people are actually four of Lily’s multiple personalities that Joe perceives as being different people in his mind and the last personality looks just like her. In the end we find out that Joe is the Jabberwocky; right before the scream goes black we see her with a knife to Joe’s back. The film is fuzzy and foggy. Movement is slightly blurred.
